Projects in CIMSS are funded by the Office of Naval Research, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, NIST, NASA and the National Science Foundation. CIMSS also houses the newly created Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems, and NSF and corporate sponsored center looking at various energy harvesting problems in concert with member corporations. There 5 faculty and about 30 graduate students in CIMSS.
