BLACKSBURG, Va., May 5, 2009 – The Mechanical Engineering Department proudly recognizes students Michelle Jones and Adam Smith as recipients of the “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” award. They were among 31 outstanding students selected by the nomination committee, and two of four students selected from the College of Engineering. For consideration students were required to submit an application form, essay, resume, and letter of reference. Nomination procedures highlight the student’s individual and diverse service to community and school as young adults who enhance the positive image of American youth through their contributions to community and school.
