Chris Williams Wins Best Paper Award
Professor Chris Williams' submission to this year's "Design for Manufacturing and the Life Cycle" conference (aka, the DFMLC, a sub-conference of the ASME DETC conferences) has been selected for the Best Paper Award.
The paper is entitled, "A Functional Classification Framework for the Conceptual Design of Layered Manufacturing Technologies" (paper number: DETC2008/DFMLC49353). As the lead author, Chris shares co-authorship with Dr. Farrokh Mistree and Dr. David Rosen of Georgia Tech.
Chris will receive the award on Tuesday August 5, 2008 during the ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences in New York..
