Professor Daniel J. Inman awarded 2007 J. P. Den Hartog Award
The ASME Technical Committee on Vibration and Sound has selected professor Inman as the recipient of the 2007 J. P. Den Hartog award.
The J.P. Den Hartog award, established in 1987, is presented in recognition of lifetime contributions to the teaching and practice of vibration engineering and is one of the most prestigious awards in the field.
The award presentation will be made at the 21st ASME Biennial Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference, which is part of the ASME 2007 International Design Engineering Technical Conferences is scheduled for September 4-7, 2007.
