The first VT Grand Challenge team constructs the first VTGC vehicle, Cliff, and enters him in the 2004 DARPA Grand Challenge (DGC)
A new class of team members led by a few vetran grad students re-fits Cliff and builds a new vehicle, Rocky, in preparation for the 2005 DGC. After a successful site visit and acceptance into the Grand Challenge semi-finals, the VTGC team prepares over the summer then heads out to California for the 2005 Challenge.
With the DARPA Grand Challenge over, the '05-'06 class prepares for a new challenge in the mountains of Southwest VA.
