The VT Challenge

Para The Virginia Tech Challenge (VTC) is the next step in the team's continuing drive to develop tougher, more intelligent ground vehicles. Cliff and Rocky will face off on a 75-mile off-road course at Virginia Tech's Kentland Farm. The rules are similar to the original Grand Challenge: course is given to the teams two hours before the Challenge begins and teams have eight hours to complete the entire competition.

Para Unlike the DARPA Grand Challenge, there will be no $2 million prize to the winner, only a year's worth of bragging rights and a set of flashy floater hubcaps for the winning team. The new course will also include trees, water, difficult man-made obstacles, and rough mountainous terrain.
