Quantifying the high temperature material properties is a critical aspect of the research that allows accurate prediction of material response and provides a means for comparing the performance of different materials. Experimental equipment is available to quantify thermal, physical, and mechanical properties of materials to high temperatures.

Thermal property measurements include thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat capacity at elevated temperatures. Thermogravimetric analyzers are also available to quantify decomposition kinetics.

A variety of mechanical properties can be measured using range of loading machines to measure typical mechanical properties. Capabilities also include machines to measure high temperature properties including time-temperature creep properties.
