Yang Chen joined in the CVeSS since 2013 and is currently working as a Research Scientist. His research interests include vehicle dynamics simulation and analysis, advanced suspension system development and analysis, and truck lateral stability testing. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech in 2017, his Masters of Engineering degree at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2013, and a Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China 2010. During 2014 to 2015, he served as a graduate teaching assistant in M.E. and an engineering manager of M.E. senior design at Virginia Tech. He enjoys exercising like hiking, jogging, and swimming, as well as doing his research.
