Michael comes to Blacksburg from Atlanta where he worked for five years on ground vehicle dynamics control systems utilizing magneto-rheological dampers. He has significant experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, Matlab and XPC Target implementation of control systems, vehicle testing, CarSim and TruckSim vehicle modeling, and electric machinery design.
With all the extra time he has since he’s not stuck in Atlanta traffic, Michael is able to spend more time with his wife hiking, camping, playing soccer, mountain biking, playing with their dog Leo, or working on any number of various home projects. As if he needed more to do, Michael also enjoys working on his old car(s), riding his motorcycle(s), and hanging out with friends when he gets the chance.
