Troy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science and Technology, concentrating in Engineering/Manufacturing, and a minor in Mathematics from James Madison University in 2008. He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). He joined CVeSS in the summer of 2008 and is now a research assistant for Dr. Corina Sandu in the Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Lab (AVDL) and working towards his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is conducting research on the mechanics of tire friction on ice [road surfaces].
