Seyed Nima Mahmoodi was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1975. He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, in 1998 and the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Tarbiat Modarres University in 2000. He has received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Clemson University, South Carolina in August 2007. Currently, He is a visiting assistant professor in the department of mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech, researching in Center for Vehicle Systems and Safety. His research interests include nonlinear vibrations, active vibration control, MEMS and NEMS.
