Trey was born in Eastern North Carolina but grew up mostly in Tennessee and Kansas. He went to the University of Kansas for two years before graduating from N.C. State in May of 2007 with a BS degree in mechanical engineering. Trey currently works in the Vehicle Terrain Performance Lab with Dr. John Ferris in Danville, VA.
