Wescott Israel is a graduate student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Virginia Tech working at the Vehicle Terrain Performance Laboratory (VTPL) in Danville, VA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University. Wescott works with Dr. Ferris and the VTPL team and is developing techniques to expand the applicability and improve the precision of terrain topology data, improving the Vehicle Terrain Measurement System, and expanding the vehicle dynamics modeling and measurement capabilities of the lab.
